The competition
Miss Universe, founded 1952. The 75th edition takes place on 24 November 2026 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
France
It has competed at Miss Universe since 1953, the competition’s second edition.
French titles
Two. Christiane Martel in 1953, Iris Mittenaere in 2016.
What changed
The Miss France organisation announced it would not send a candidate in 2026. Miss Universe has since begun putting a new French selection in place.
The selection
Open, with no regional title required beforehand, to women from across France, subject to the eligibility criteria set by the international organisation.
Applications
The official form was open from June to August 2026, on this site. Selected candidates are chosen by the organisation’s leadership committee.
The prize package
It will be published with the rules. We do not announce it before we can guarantee it.

Miss Universe France is the organisation responsible for selecting and preparing France’s representative at the international Miss Universe competition. Established for the 2026 edition, the competition’s 75th, it runs a national selection open to women from across France, with no regional circuit required. The international final takes place on 24 November 2026 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Accreditation
Accreditation for the 2026 French selection will open alongside the selection calendar. The process and deadlines will be published here.
Accreditation for the international final in Puerto Rico is handled by the international organisation, not by us.
